In December, Project Manager Spencer Gorman and Senior Energy Rater Nate Wicksman represented New Ecology at a NESEA Pro Tour of 2Life Communities’ Leland House, which New Ecology sponsored. The project is a Phius CORE 2021 certified affordable senior housing development in Waltham, MA.

116 Norfolk: Building Permanent Supportive Housing
116 Norfolk Street was originally constructed in 1907 as a convent for St. Mary’s Church in the Central Square area of Cambridge, MA. Cambridge Housing Authority purchased the property in 1975 and converted it into single-room occupancy (SRO) housing where residents shared kitchens and shower facilities.
Awards and Recognitions
In November, Marty Josten, our Principal Director of Building Decarbonization, was honored by Built Environment Plus as the Change Agent of the Year!
In November, New Ecology Project Manager Spencer Gorman was recognized at Phiuscon as the recipient of the Best Project by a Young Professional award (CPHC 35 or younger) for his work on J.J. Carroll House in Brighton, MA, a 2Life Communities property.
