In November, Marty Josten, our Principal Director of Building Decarbonization, was honored by Built Environment Plus as the Change Agent of the Year!

New Ecology CEO Kim Stevenson presented the award, speaking about how Marty is a force in our field, pioneering Deep Energy Retrofits and building practical, impactful solutions for affordable housing. Her leadership reflects the best of what this work can be: innovative, equitable, and deeply collaborative. Congratulations, Marty, and thank you to Built Environment Plus for hosting the event!

 

In November, New Ecology Project Manager Spencer Gorman was recognized at PhiusCon as the recipient of the Best Project by a Young Professional award (CPHC 35 or younger) for his work on J.J. Carroll House in Brighton, MA, a 2Life Communities property.

The award was presented as part of the 2025 Phius Passive Projects Design Competition.
