Cost-effective opportunities abound at the beginning of a project, and NEI is here to help you make good decisions early. We work with owners and developers to define and outline their requirements and goals for a project through schematic design-stage charrettes, conceptual design review, the development of “Owners Project Requirements” (OPR) guidelines, which promote a universal understanding of design and operational expectations, and other early-stage design tools and discussions.

For projects following a design/build pathway, NEI produces pre-design specifications to outline the design and performance expectations for the contractors bidding on the job. We write RFP’s, assist with the bidding and selection process, and provide design and construction oversight and evaluation.
