Jess joined New Ecology in 2026 and serves as Senior Project Manager and Team Lead in the Mid Atlantic Green Building Department. Jess manages green building projects from pre-design through construction, guiding project teams through green building certifications, best practices, and regulatory requirements. Prior to joining New Ecology, she worked in local government for 15 years, managing Arlington, Virginia’s Green Building Density Incentive Program and facilitating the development of the District of Columbia’s Affordable Housing Retrofit Accelerator. Jess has an MS in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins University and is a LEED AP O+M, LEED AP BD+C, and NGBS Green Verifier. Jess is an avid backpacker and cyclist. When she’s not supporting green building projects, you can find her hiking remote trails, biking through small-town America along rail-trail networks, or floating the Gunpowder River just north of her hometown of Baltimore.
