Director of Sustainability at VHB, Watertown, MA
Kari is Director of Sustainability and a Project Manager with VHB’s Environmental Planning & Sustainability Practice. She has extensive experience supporting local governments, airports, and state agencies with sustainability planning and reporting services, climate action and strategic energy planning, resiliency planning, and stakeholder engagement. Kari oversees a team of environmental and sustainability planners that provide comprehensive and technical resiliency and sustainability planning services. In addition, Kari oversees VHB’s corporate sustainability program, which aims to integrate sustainability throughout the company’s projects and operations. Kari received her B.A. in Sociology from Smith College and her M.A. in Urban and Environmental Policy & Planning from Tufts University. She is a LEED AP, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP). She also serves on the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure’s (ISI) Envision Review Board.
